新竹市政府今(16)日舉行「路平計畫改善面積達50萬平方公尺」記者會，宣布新竹市東大路一段道路已刨鋪改善完成，總計一年半來，新竹市道路改善鋪設總面積已達50萬平方公尺，今年度將持續改善光復路一段等36條道路，持續為市民打造平整、舒適、安全的回家道路。

根據統計，路平是市民最關心的問題，新竹市的道路面積總計695萬平方公尺，按照道路平均壽命6年計算，每年需編列5.3億元才能達到全面改善的目標。過去新竹市道路養護經費僅編列8千3百萬，上任後，在議會支持下，將預算增加至2.3億元，一年約可改善44萬平方公尺。上任一年半以來，道路改善面積已達到50萬平方公尺，路平成果迴響頗大，民眾反映「有感」。

新竹市道路不平整，最大原因來自於五大管線單位，市府修訂《新竹市挖掘道路埋設管線管理自治條例》，成立道路管線協調中心，落實管線單位「聯合施工、責任加重」的道路挖掘管理政策，避免出現同一條道路「鋪了又挖、挖了又鋪」的情形。

「新竹市的道路品質會越來越好。」新竹市長林智堅強調，市府祭出路平三支箭，透過增加預算、修正「新竹市挖掘道路埋設管線管理自治條例」及啟用「路平主題網」全民監督，三箭齊發，讓市民擁有安全、平順回家的路。

新竹市工務處表示，為落實「路平計畫」，104年度編列2.3億元合計完成振興路等56條主要道路的改善工程，改善總長度38,022公尺，改善總面積446,870平方公尺。今(105)年度續編列2.3億元，預計辦理光復路一段等36條道路改善工程，改善總長度約29,890公尺，改善總面積約444,986平方公尺。

此外，網友在1999市民服務專線、市長臉書等處反映的民生路、北大路、景觀大道、中華路三段、天府路、南大路、中央路、民生路、延平路二段、光復路一段及東大路四段等路段，市府今年均已列入改善，將依序安排施工。
